Noiserock and heavy psychedelic music
Diploid is a trio from Melbourne that makes really intense and heavy stuff. the tracks are ridiculously short, extremely heavy, riffs that make you shit yourself and screams deep from the bush. Ranging from hardcore punk to grindcore this new album is an absolute blast to listen to. tune in for ‘I am Yours. And I am Here Again.
Through the Australian band Lost Talk I came to know the band Macros with members of LOST TALK, Overtime, Mile End, Mongrel Country. And then I forgot about them again.
So it feels like a kinda new discovery all over again, which is nice. I knew I was impressed with their debut EP in 2019 and was pleasantly surprised that this new EP is really cool. It is a bit a mix of hardcore, noiserock and stuff like that, it is called Brain Tattoo and it perfectly fits my abysmal mood this moring.
Feeling shitty today? tune in to Macros, it will not help you mood at all but it is awesome nonetheless.

Your favourite Australian duo is back! Jem and Jace made a new album called ‘Up Yours’. With Dead they have made some pretty awesome stuff before, always heavy, riff fueled music. ‘Up Yours’ is nasty, loud and made for listinging on max volume. The Adelaide psychedelic band Sons of Zöku have grown as a band (in bandmembers as in sound) and they present us their new single ‘Sacred’ that is taken from the upcoming debut album. Melbourne punkers Cutters release quite a lot of music, and every time it is pretty damn awesome. This time their release is called ‘Australian War Crimes’ and is again fast paced hardcore punk. Tune in and enjoy this beast.
The Australian heavy psych band Pseudo Mind Hive are back. Ther previous debut album “Off Seers and Sirens” was a gorgeous heavy psych alvum and on their new album “Volume III” their sound is really good produced and his this occult heavy psych sound, solos flying everywhere, distorted vocals and most off all, , catchy riffs. The Black Heart Death Cult is from Melbourne and makes trippy shoegazy psych rock. They released their second full length in March called ‘Sonic Mantras’. The 7 headed made an album that is easy to listen to and still has a lot of rocknroll. Filled with sonic layers, this album gets better with each listen. Tune in now and discover trippy sounds like organs and sitars and stuff.

Melbourne’s BADGERS return with new music. Badgers is fronted by vocalist/guitarist Michael Badger – producer/mixer who has worked with the likes of King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Amyl & The Sniffers, You Am I, SONS (Belgium) and more – along with Miranda Holt (drums), Eloise Thetford (guitar, vocals) and Dali Platt (bass, vocals).

This band has made the most gorgeous records, the most perfect mix of psychedelic rock and heaviness, and their mellow songs are just gorgeous. Now they return yet againw ith a new 7″ that is out on Joyfull Noise Recordings and Flightless Records. The track ‘Legal Ghost’ is up for a listen and is yet again a true beauty. On the one side is the ‘Legal Ghost’ track and on the other side the Talking Heads cover ‘Heaven’. Order it now!

This is one of those bands that’s perfect for a hype. Their first track from this EP was called ‘Fix My Head’ and is just one bomb of energy and punkriffs and a free remix of the track. This Melbourne band now released their first EP called ‘Rock Never Die’ and it is so heavy in your face noise you can’t ignore it and it is an absolute blast. Superfast, Superloud, Supercool lyrics, everything is super.

Hailing from Sydney come psychedelic-pop outfit, The Lazy Eyes who have shared ‘Tangerine’ a summer, sun-kissed scorcher. A kaleidoscopic, otherworldly celestial stunner akin to Tame Impala’s earliest material meets Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd, ‘Tangerine’ from the cosmic quartet is nearly 3 minutes of euphoric, sweltering psychedelia.

“Raving Drooling” is an album made of riffs, riffs that we need, that you need, riffs that i am pretty sure could save us against the virus, they are so heavy and dense they could level a building with the first chord of the first track. This really cool album is made by the Australian duo DEAD who also manage the label Weemptyrooms. On this album are 7 tracks that been put really good together, they immediatly get stuck in your head, vocals fit perfectly in the music. The tracks are varied so this is a real good listen from start to finish. Tune in and listen to DEAD. Buy it on their bandcamp or on Wantage.
