Noiserock and heavy psychedelic music
One of my favourite newish bands is Chat Pile, a band that kinda difficult to pin down and has the sound like an industrial concrete mixer. If you don’t know them I really need you to listen to ‘Remove Your Skin Please’ and I promise you will be blow away.A while ago they did a Sepultura cover for the Flenser’s upcoming compilation. Now they released a split with Portayle of Guilt. The track is called ‘A Brutal Truth’ and maybe their sludgieiest and hievyiest track till now.
Its the middle of the summer and their has been another peak in corona cases, there have been floods and heat waves, species are going extinct, the rich are getting richer, forest fires and the climate is still changing and stuff like that but fear not! This album has been growing on me for a while now and it keeps on getting better. It really got under my skin. So I decided to put them on my best of 2019 list. Chat Pile made really impressive music with “Remove Your Skin Please” and I really think you should take the time to listen to this intensively.
The new album by Oklahoma City heavyness Chat Pile is called “Remove your Skin Please”. This is a very great example of how you mix a lot of different genres and create something new and succesfull. This metal/postpunk/noiserock/doom project is a very great listen. very versatile with superb vocals. Chat Pile has made themselves masters in creating an eerie and agressive atmosphere.
