Shit and Shine released ‘Malibu Liquor Store’ on Rocket Recordings

Shit is getting confusing, there well come a time when I will try to make a post about Shit and Shine where I will try to order their records a bit from weird techno to strange electronics to brutal sludgenoise. Lately Craig Clouse (wich is, I think, the mastermember) has been releasing al his older albums on bandcamp and it brought me a lot of joy. So while I have been checking out all these releases Craig has been releasing new music as well.

‘Goat Yelling Like A Man’ is the album that is released on Riot Season Records and wich is mental sludgenoise. And right about the same time we have got the new album ‘Malibu Liquor Store’  wich is out on Rocket Recordings. Trippy and fat beats for moving your body. I tried moving my body on these beats and I must say it was pretty fun.

New music by Shit and Shine on Rocket Recordings

This new track is called ‘Hillbilly Moonshine’ and comes from the upcoming album ‘Malibu Liquor Store’ wich will be released October 9. Robonoise: Noiserock with electronic influences

I noticed I really like it when bands experiment with sound, as a big noiserockfan I ofcourse go completely wild when these bands experiment with sound, especially with electronics. The difference between noiserock and industrial is small, I know, but I wil try  to leave Industrial mostly out of it.  So I will share some of my favourite releases, some with an obvious electronic influence and with others it is a bit more nuanced. Be sure to let me know wich ones deserve a place on here, I really want as much as possible on this list.

Thank

The leeds noiserockers released their album “Please” last year and ended pretty high on my end of the year list. Their sound is full of electronics wich makes their music even more nutty.

https://www.facebook.com/thankleeds/

Girl Band

On the latest one of Girl Band the electronics are maybe a bit more nuanced but the techno piece in the middle of “Shoulderblades” track is absolutely brilliant and give me goosebumbs to this day.

https://www.facebook.com/girlband/

Shuttlecock

Maybe not 100% noiserock but shuttlecock made a really cool album with “Simulation Assimilation” in 2006.

Gary, Indiana

This is a newer band but it is quite clear the band intents to make a marriage of noise rock and electronics.

https://www.facebook.com/garyindianaband

Brainiac

This list would be nothing without the 90s band Brainiac.

https://www.facebook.com/Brainiac-1469097239973542/

Kim Gordon

On Kim Gordon’s first solo album “No Home Record” she experimented with a lot of different genres, and she succeeded wonderfully, This is a great record with a lot of different influences.

https://www.facebook.com/KimGordonOfficial/

Shit and Shine

This is quite a band, Shit and Shine has released a bit of everything, I don’t know how many releases they had but it must be a crapload. The band has made pure electronic and acid albums but I wanted to share their latest called “Doing Drugs, Selling Drugs”. There is a lot of sampling and electronic in this album but most of all it is extremely heavy.

https://www.facebook.com/sshitandsshine/

Raketkanon

This is maybe not exactly fitting but I always do love me some Raketkanon, and since they called it quits they deserve a place on here. Their latest album is very much synth, so here it is.

https://www.facebook.com/Raketkanon/

Psychic Graveyard

Noise Rock pioneers, Eric Paul (Arab On Radar, Chinese Stars, Doomsday Student), Paul Vieira (Chinese Stars, Doomsday Student), and Nathan Joyner (Some Girls, All Leather, Hot Nerds) make really awesome industrial/electronic noiserock.

https://www.facebook.com/OfficialPsychicGraveyard/

Duchess Says

The debut of Duchess Says was released in 2006 and deserves a place in here too. Keytars, Keyboards and whatever make this stuff pretty frikkin cool.

https://www.facebook.com/duchesssays/

Servotron

14 tracks about robot domination and human extinction? Released on Amphetamine Reptile Records in 1996? Yes, please.

FOETUS

This is some nutty music. Its sounds like the 80’s Thank. This is from their 1985 album “Wash & Slog”.

44 DAYS

I don’t have a lot of info on this band but this EP, Jesus, this EP completely blow me to bits.

The Utopia strong to release “Alphabet of the Magi”

After their excellent self titled album in September last year the band is already back with 2 tracks as a first in a series of limited edition albums of recondite recordings by The Utopia Strong. “The Deathless Queen” is the first of these two tracks that is available for a listen. The track was recorded direct to stereo as a single performance at The High Castle, June 2019. This first track is almost 20 minutes of experimental ambient, electronic and psych. Tune in and check it out. Out February 26.

Violet Nox release “Future Fast”

Violet Nox is a band from Boston that makes experimental psychedelic tunes with a weird futuristic side to it. Their EP “Future Fast” was released on january 13 and mixes electronic music with psychedelic elements. The album is out on Sleep Fuse UK. The mood and vibe on this album are very different then their previous released, it sounds like the band evolved in a more electronic being. The track “Moonshine” has even some western psych vibe in it, so hooray for experimental music.

Electronic Sunday Part II

I am still going to share electronics here on my noise and psych blog because I like it and because I can. So today I wanted to share the Chicago artist Hieroglyphic Being with the album he shared on December 30, 2019 called “The Strenuous Life”. Tune in for some catchy techno beats.

https://www.facebook.com/Somuchnoise2beheard/

I also wanted to share ELLLL because I heard the track “Pepsi” from her EP ” Confectionary” in February last year, I know it is a bit older but I am still new to most of this music and I thought it too awesome not to share. There are only three track but the good news is there is another EP that was released in December called “Polarbergs”. Both are out on Glacial Industries.

https://www.facebook.com/Ellllmusic/

Another addition to my Electronic Sunday is Wrangler wich has a dark and eerie Synth/techno vibe. “A Situation” is going to be out 28/02/2020 via Bella Union.

https://www.roughtrade.com/gb/wrangler/a-situation

And finally we get the new track by Electronic artist Jlin. Her new track ‘I Hate Being an Adult’ was released through Adult Swim’s 2019-2020 Single Series.

Electronic Sunday Part I

For those who did not know yet. I am starting an electronic part on Fuzzy Sun and it has now changed to Electronic Sunday, wich I will release on a …. Sunday. I am still finding my way in this new territorium. I think I will cover mostly Techno and experimental electronics.

Monolithe Noir –  Resonate (MAZE Remix)

The Maze Remix for the “Resonate” track by Brussels artist Monolithe Noir is absolutely brilliant. The track is taken from Monolithe Noir Ep on Kowtow records. It is called “Slowly Changing” and was released in the beginning of 2019.

Now he has a new album coming called “Moira” and it will be relesead January 24. There are two tracks available for listening.

For those who are unknown to Monolithe Noir, be sure to check out his album “Le Son Grave” wich was released in 2017. Absolutely great stuff.

Leon Vynehall

Leon Vynehall released a 12″ on Ninja Tune. We can listen to the A side. The track is called “I, Cavallo” wich sounds like dark, sludgy techno and possibly one of my favourites together with  Giant Swan since I started this techno thingy.

https://www.facebook.com/LeonVynehall/

Planetary Assault System

Luke Slater delivers  with “Plantea” and excellent piece of  fast paced techno. This was released November 1, 2019.

https://www.facebook.com/LukeSlaterPlanetaryAssaultSystems

Karenn

Karenn released some trippy synthy techno on the UK label Voam. “Grapefruit Regret” was released November 8, 2019.

Rose Bonica

“Mouthful of Concrete” by Rose Bonica is about eating concrete and getting back up with a smile!

Giant Swan

I said before that I wanted to try and share some electronic music. This is is a bit new direction for Fuzzy Sun but that I really like this and I think will fit the blog very well. I still don’t know a lot about it, and about what I want exactly but I will do my best. I have shared Shit and Shine (on Ooh Sounds) and Oil Thief before and this is the third band in the this new direction that I really like.

The Bristol duo Giant Swan (Robin Stewart and Harry Wright) released their new self titled album on November 8 and its quite impressive. The band switches between techno and electronic experimental electronic music with ease. Tune in and listen now.

Three track premiere by the sonic wizard Headboggle on Ratskin Records

Alright, I believe it is important (and fun) to broaden our horizons and try out new stuff, and the good guys of Ratskin Records have offered me something new. Now i have to say this evokes some special feelings, cause the stuff that coming is pretty magical. Let us dive in to the world of Derek Gedalecia with his moniker HEADBOGGLE. His discographie is 100 + releases long and quite impressive. Headboggle deals in electronics, psychedelics and synths.

Now we will take a look at the new release thats coming, Headboggle gifted us with a new album called ‘Polyphonic Demo’ wich will be released April 22 on Ratskin Records.

What we get here is an album with fourty-four one minute tracks. On each of this tracks Derek creates a small sonic universe out of nothing, each track shows a glimpse of a dream. What we hear here is an artist that has experimented a lot and has become an expert with sounds, synths and electronics.

‘Polyphonic Demo’ is an abstract listen, but is easy digestible and feels good from the first minute/track.

There are four tracks that are already up for a listen. But let us first check out the premiere of ‘Sister Synth’ and ‘Siren Phonics’ and ‘Detective Work’.

Yeah I’m On Acid!

Everything that is released on Rocket Recordings is just amazing stuff. Their whole catalogue is filled with psychedelic, kraut and experimental goods. And i remeber i went completely nuts on the 7″ release by Shit and Shine, the Texas droning electronics musicians. The tree track EP ‘Thats Enough’ was released last year in November and was really awesome.
So now they are returning with a new full album called ‘Bad Vibes’ wich will be released November 9.
Get your earholes destroyed with their new track “Yeah I’m On Acid’.

New video for Belgian Electronics trio Onset

The Belgian electronic trio Onset released their EP on February 3 this year. Four tracks of Gloomy and melancholic vibes. Now we get the new video for the single ‘Failure’ directed by Alexander Decommere.
Immerse yourself in the highly addictive music of Onset. (A tiny bird whispered in my ear there will be another big video soon, so be ready)

Le Son Grave by Monolithe Noir

This is a bit atypical for my blog, but the Brussel based electronic artist Antoine Pasqualini aka Monolithe Noir makes music that just gets to me. Hope you enjoy his album ‘Le Son Grave” as much as i do. Out April last year through Luik records.

Godlike electronics on The Black’Ex series

The Black’Ex is a new project from Exag Records.
The concept is to take two artists from two different countries and then press on a 10” vinyl.  The first release brings you Italian Dave Cocks (half of cold wave duo Throw Down Bones) with “Borders” and the french Monolithe Noir with “La Begum”.
Enjoy.

We’ve All Been Swimming by Fieldhead creates electronic bliss

I barely cover electronic music, but this has to go on Fuzzy Sun. We’ve All Been Swimming is the third studio album by Paul Elam ( Fieldhead). The droning synths create an almost hazy, distant sound. The album will be out  June 30, 2017 . We can already pre-order and listen to some tracks!
Enjoy Fieldhead
