New experimental track ‘Cam Girls’ from Pure Adult

Pure Adult is a new York duo that makes refreshing and original experimental punk. They released their debut  in 2019 and it ended on my end of the year list, I am really impressed  by their succesfull experimentation with noiserock, punk and, well, sounds. A while ago they shared the track ‘Mis en Scene’ that you can check out below but now they shared the brandnew track ‘Cam Girls’ and the only way to describe the sounds on this one is that it sounds like Pure Adult sounds and that is pretty fucking awesome.

Pure Adult is ofcourse on my Duo list too.

Codex Serafini release ‘Invisible Landscapes’

Codex Serafini make outer-space cosmic music that originates somewhere out of Sussex. Their new album ‘Invisible Landscapes’ is out since June 11th and what is most noticable is how trippy it is, this is super psychedelic with an occult feel to it. It is al very experimental yet accessible. The thing has oriental vibes, noise, kraut and for some reason it blends together perfectly well. I liker this, I like this very much.

It is time to take your mind to the cosmos with Codex Serafini

Skeletonized Quartet release ‘Future Shock’

AGAIN MORE SKELETONIZED!! I am always glad when a release from the band pops up and they release a lot of music and this time it is an album called ‘Future Shock’. The trio is now a quartet and Nathan Berlinguette (Guitar, Electronics, Synthesizer)  who runs the noise label Daft Alliance joined the band for this album. And it does give it an extra kick too. ‘Future Shock’ is bleak but and intense, it is very layered and complex but is still easy to listen too. I have a very saxy list where you can find them and more bands like them on this list.

This is a very good album that is best enjoyed in a warm family moment with some hot coco.

NEPTUNIAN MAXIMALISM

Belgian experimentalists Neptunian Maximalism reurn after their 2020 album ‘Éons’ wich fused mysticism, drone, Jazz and experimental tunes. The beast will be released on I, Voidhanger records on April 23.

‘Splintered Metal Sky’ by White Hills

White Hills is  Dave W. and Ego Sensation and their music has this experimental dangerous sound that borders between industrial, post-punk and other eerie sounding stuff. Their new album is called ‘Splintered Metal Sky’ and is released October 23 on God Unknown Records and it features a lot of guest performers wich gives the whole album yet another dimension. We can hear Jim Jarmuch (from the movies and SQURL and stuff like that), Simone Mare Butler (Primal Scream), Jim Coleman (Human Impact/Cop Shoot Cop) and Yasmine Hamdan.

The result is this nasty sounding, sometimes 90’s horro feel, industrial post punk with synth vibes that goes from experimental to goddamn catchy even. I think it is quite clear that you need this music, even more now in 2020.

Skeletonized release ‘Apparition’

I have lost count how many times the Pittsburgh free jazz/noise band Skeletonized has been on Fuzzy Sun but the only thing I know for sure is that is not enough. Their high energy skronk keeps my body going for yet another day. Their previous releases have been brutal and this new release is no different yet it has something more, there seems to be an extra psychedelic touch to it. Is it more jazzy? Is it less agresssive? It is beautifull that is for sure. Tune in and listen to ‘Apparition’ by the great Skeletonized.

EXPERIMENTAL BELGIAN PROJECT NEPTUNIAN MAXIMALISM

This is quite something. This album by Belgian experimentalists is called ‘Éons’ and on it they fuse mysticism, drone, Jazz and experimental tunes. The whole has a oriental mystical vibe around it and sounds eerie and dark. Each of these 16 tracks is a world on their own, weird and special. The is such a long album that it makes everything even better, I feel like an explorer finding something strange and mystical around each corner.

A truly fascinating listen from start to finish, take your time and enter ther world of Neptunian Maximalism.

Skeletonized release ‘Desolate Conclusion’

High energy destructive free Jazz and noise. This is a bit how I would describe Skeletonized. The Pennsylvania band has released a lot of albums by now and some of them tend to drone and noise and others more to free jazz and noise stuff. Now this new one just gets me itchy and nerveous. The drums are superb on this and the sax is as always an agressive force that makes me go a little nutty. Always gorgeous stuff, and they did it again!

Pure Adult shares new track

Pure Adult is a new York duo that makes refreshing and original experimental punk. They released their debut  in 2019 and it ended on my end of the year list, I was mostly amazed by their succesful experimentation with noiserock, punk and, well, sounds. Now we get a new track called ‘Mise en Scene’ en I really hope this is just the beginning of more Pure Adult. Again a very experimental track that gets really filthy towards the end.

Video premiere: Hayward Versus Harmergeddon – Helix

The English drummer Charles Hayward ( This Heat and Camberwell Now) has made a lot of music in the experimental scene and now he started this collaboration with the noise/ambient/electronic duo from England called Harmergeddon. Now something curious has happened, these three artists have released their first track and now video called ‘Helix’ and it sounds quite out of this world, not really what you would expect from these artists alone. The track feels alien, cold and trippy. This collaboration sure gives us something interesting to listen to. ‘Hayward Versus Harmergeddon’ will be released on God Unknown Records this friday. Check out the track ‘Helix’ now.

Sex Swing release their ominous new album ‘Type II’ on Rocket Recordings

“Type II” is out on Rocket Recordings! The album by Sex Swing (members an contributers from Mugstar, Bonnacons of a Doom, Part Chimp, Dethscalator, Earth, Dead Neanderthalls and Idles and who the hell knows who else) is released and is a ominous feast. The music Sex Swing makes is something in the psych/noise/postpunk spectrum but it is pretty bleak, their is an unnerving atmopshere throughout the whole album. The thing that does it most for me is the sax in the music, the music is already very layered  but with the addition of Colin Webster’s sax the music is downright scary. This album has a lot of dimensions and is one of those albums you need to listen to a couple of times to hear how good it actually is, all these different artist have put their signature wich makes it extremely original and a true feast to listen too.

African experimental noise Return To Worm Mountain

It is quite incredible what kind of bands I am discovering thanks to my new African list. Someone commented I forgot about this band called Return To Worm Mountain wich seems to be a two piece between the the singer / guitarist of Black Math and some strange individual. Their music absolutely rules and they have just a new album out called ‘Therianthropy’ (it is about monsters). The album is released on Forbidden Place Records.  Tune in enjoy some heaviness.

Ambient and Drone on the new Animal Hospital

Animal Hospital aka Kevin Micka from Boston is and experimental musician and he returns with his new album since the release of his 2009 album ‘Memory’. His new album ‘Fatigue’ is a culmination of the past 10 years of Micka creating live music for large ensembles. The first track starts with experimental tunes that bring you fast in a hypnotic state only the push you deeper with the guitar driven drone on the track ‘No Pressure’. It is quite difficult to make guitar drone that is good, you have to succeed in bringing the track to life and this is something Kevin Micka does good. His music is filled with emotion and tracelike vibes.

Hollow Ship release “Future Remains” on PNKSLM

Hollow Ship produced their album together with Mattias Glavå(bans like Dungen, …), they called it “Future Remains” and it is out now on Punk Slime Recordings. The album is an original take on psychedelic music, It is like a futuristic version on psychedelic pop. The floaty vocals, tribal rythms and the sharp electrical guitar make this album come perfectly together. The Gothenburg band made a sunny feel good psych album and it feels refreshing and is a really nice listen. Tune in now

Almost Sex Swing time!

It is time for the third Sex Swing track before the release of their album “Type II” on May 15 on Rocket Recordings. Over the years they had members from Mugstar, Bonnacons of a Doom, Part Chimp, Dethscalator, Earth, Dead Neanderthalls and Idles and I don’t know who else. Their first track was called “Valentine’s Day At The Gym”, the second “The Passover” and now their released their third track “Skimmington Ride”. The band continues on the track of fuzzed out and noisy experimental psychedelia. This occult sounding track has something of an eerie hypnotic vibe to it, their music is quite addictive and, honestly, gives me a bit of the creeps.

Energetic noise and jazz on the new Skeletonized

The Pennsylvania freejazz and noise band seems to release music faster then I can listen properly to them, now they are back with a thingy called “Pink Durag”. Like always the atmosphere is bleak and ominous. The saxophone is again the main ingredient of the album wich makes me happy. Their music is highly experimental but still it is not that difficult to listen to, they bring me a kind of rest but that is probably whats wrong with me. Tune in and check for yourself the new Skeletonized called “Pink Durag”.

Check their latest albums out too.
