The new album by Karkara is almost out, check out the first three track
Karkara is a French band, and it gets me thinking a bit of Slift, who are French too I believe. Karkara has a really strong, fuzzy and heavy psychedelic sound with Middle Eastern vibes.
A strong psychedelic rock band that shows a lot of promise. Very curious to hear the full album that is called ‘Nowhere Land’ and will be released on November 13. Check them out and pre-order the album.
FRANCE – Far Out West
A while ago I shared ‘Meltdown of Planet Earth’ by France in I was completely mesmerized by this records, I could not really find a lot about the band but I know I was hooked on their repetitive kraut and psych sound. The album was recorded in 2014 and released on the French Label Disastre and Standard In-Fi.
Now another album surfaces, a Live recording of one of their first gigs and now I learned this is a trio, a trio that is actually from France. Their live recording is one song called ‘Far Out Far West’ and is released on Mental Groove Records / Musique Pour La Danse.
Karkara to release new album, share first track
Karkara is a French band, and it gets me thinking a bit of Slift, who are French too I believe. Karkara has a really strong, fuzzy and heavy psychedelic sound with Middle Eastern vibes. Their first track is called ‘Failing Gods’ and is taken from their upcoming alvum ‘Nowhere Land’. Check them out and pre-order the album.
FRANCE
‘Meltdown of Planet Earth’ was recorded in 2014 in France, Paris and now sees the light of day on vinyl through the French Label Disastre and Standard In-Fi. There are two tracks on this album each 29 minutes long but and they are absolutely brilliant, kraut and psych combined with shrieking guitar make this an extremely trippy album. I am kind of in awe of this band, I don’t know much about this and it just makes it more mystical and powerful. This is highly hypnotic quality music and it just fucks with my brain. Let your troubles go away and listen to France.

Modulator II is back with a lot of fuzz
It is quite incredible how much fuzz this French band can make while still sounding so catchy. They have a really have fun garagerock kinda vibe in their music. Each track peppered with psychedelic rock and modular synth is like upgrading their music. Is this garagerock, psych or spacerock? Well, I got some good news, this is one of these bands that combine these genres perfectly and do it in style.Their new album “Silvered Hearse” is a victory, a true triumph for fuzzed outpsych and garage, this album is really good and everyone should like, buy it. It is released on Stolen Body Records.

Igorrr release “Spirituality and Distortion”
You might say that Igorrr does not fit at all on Fuzzy Sun and you are probably right but honestly, I love Igorrr with their crazy over the top weirdness. When I heard them first with their 2012 album “Hallelujah” and I was so happy I discovered this french weirdos. They mix up their metal with al kinds of strange stuff, from breakcore to baroque-like music. Ok, honestly, some tracks are a bit too gothic for me but sometimes they are just absolutely fun to listen too. Their video of “Very Noise” might as well be the best music video I have seen in years too. Now decide for yourself if classical baroque, breakcore, gothic and death metal belong together in one song. Enjoy “Spirituality and Distortion”.

Modulator II is back with a lot of fuzz
The French trio Modulator II is back with new music. Their self-titled is from 2018 so it is real good they are back because we can all use a dose of their fuzz. The band creates heavy garage/fuzz that numbs the mind. Their new track “Silvered Hearse” is out and comes from their upcoming album with the same name that will be released April 24 on Stolen Body Records. Pre-Order here

Slift release “Ummon”
Slift has clearly taken inspiration from one of the best books in existence for their new album. The album is called “Ummon” wich was some big AI god if I rememer correctly. But more imprtantly, Their album is out and is 11 tracks of epic and glorious spacerock. Heavy frikkn riffs with psychedelic guitar work make this one hell of an album. Their previous album “La Planète Inexplorée” was really good but it seems the band has pushed themselves and put out their best work so far. This is strong, heavy and psychedelic. Tune in now to hear this wall of psych sound.

Heavy psych rockers Slift share second track
The second track by the French psychrockers is again a raging spacerock song full of heavypsych riffs wild unfermented solos and catchy hooks. The track is called “Hyperion”. The name is taken from my favourite scifi/fantasy book “Hyperion” from Dan Simmons. Their First track was called “Ummon” wich reffers to an AI god in the Hyperion Cantos. Their full album will be out February 28th 2020 on Stolen Body Records.

French experimental weirdness Igorrr is back
I shared Igorrr a couple of times on Fuzzy Sun wich is maybe a bit atypical but I just love the band. The combination of metal, drum and bass, opera, strange folk and you know whatever just brings me joy. Every time they come with something different and each times for some strange reason it works. “Savage Sinusoid” was released in 2017 and was like french circusmusic mixed with black and death metal. This time its hard to tell what the full album will bring because it is only one track yet. The track “Very Noise” is a combi of electronics and heavy riffs and trippy basslines. The track is taken from the album “Spirituality and Distortion” wich will be released March 27.

Heavy psych rockers Slift share new track!!!
The French spacerockers Slift have been releasing incredible music for a while now. From heavy psych to space rock and all that is trippy. In 2017 they released their debut album ‘Space is the Key’ wich put them instantly on the map. In 2018 they have given us the album ‘La Planète Inexplorée’ and soon after came 3 unreleased demos “2016 : Spacetrip For Everyone”. And now they are back and they have shared a new song called “Ummon” (wich if i remember correctly was an AI god from the technocore in the Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons, wich is my favourite fantasy/scifi book).
The track is taken from the upcoming album “Ummon” wich will be released February 28th 2020 on Stolen Body Records.
