Charles Moothart (Fuzz, Ty Segal & Freedom Band) returns with a new solo EP. The beast is called ‘Soft Crime and will be released October 15. The first track is out and is called the same as the EP and is an absolute shredder. Garagerock riffing at its best. Check it out now.
Out of nothing, POOF, comes a new album by fuzzhead Ty Segall and it is called ‘Harmonizer’. This time Ty combines heavy ellements of fuzz and garage with wild synths and funky rhythms. As can expected by him this is again some excellent piece of groovy music. Out on Drag City. Tune in now.

Meatbodies is a really great garagerock band fronted by Chad Ubovich who played in Mikal Cronin’s backing band, bassist for Fuzz and I am very pleased to see we get a new album. The album ‘333’ will be released on the third of September. The LA trio has two tracks out: ‘Reach For The Sunn’ and ‘The Hero’ and the first one is almost five minutes of gorgeous fuzz and the latter is really happy summer psych.. Check it out now.
Possum is Brandon Bak (guitar, vocals), Tobin Hopwood (guitar), Patrick Lefler (bass) and Bradley Thibodeau (drums).Their previous album ‘Space Grade Assembly’ was an album filled with fuzz and Black Sabbath like tunes. I have been a fan of the band since I heard their debut album and I am really happy to show you their new album ‘Lunar Gardens’. On this album we have a completely new Possum, they reinvented their sound from heavy fuzz to really trippy cosmic psych with some space rock, trippy jazz and kraut and stuff like that. ‘Lunar Gardens’ is really trippy, original and most of all, a very fun listen.

Fuzz (Ty Segall, Charles Moothart, Roland Cosio) released their album III on 23/10 on in The Red Records. And now we get a live set at gold diggers.
This album is filled with fuzzed out grungy riffs and garage and a bit of noise with a 2000 feel about it. It is dirty enough to be cool and clean enough to be fun. Don’t know what I am talking about? Tune in and check the album out that is released on In The Red Records.
Quebec rockers Population II released their new album on Castle Face Records (the label from John Dwyer from Thee Oh Sees). The album is named ‘À la Ô Terre’ and I think this one may be one of my favourite psychedelic rock albums of the year (together with Fuzz, Osees and a couple others maybe).
The combination of softer trippy tracks and heavy fuzz is gorgeous, each track is highly hypnotic and original. Population II brings a new breath to psychedelic rock in my opinion.

Finally, here it is in all its glory, number three by Fuzz (Ty Segall, Charles Moothart, Roland Cosio)! Out today (23/10) on in The Red Records. The album, titled ‘III’, is a gorgeous album filled with riffs, garagerock, psych and catchy stuff. Tracks on the album vary from classic heavy fuzz to more funky tunes. Sometimes they can sound so much like Black Sabbath (thank God for those gorgeous guitar solos) like on ‘Nothing People’ and Time Collapse’. Fuzz is one of the psychedelic garage forces of out times and again they show what they are capable of with the awesome album.
This is the third and final track that Fuzz is going to share before the release of their new album ‘III’ wich will be out this friday. ‘Returning’ and ‘Spit’ are already out and now we can check out the track ‘Mirror’ wich is nice and fuzzy and heavy. Now the second track is out and is again very impressive, the track is called ‘Il eut un Silence dans le Ciel’ and is really trippy, the band plays with hypnotic kraut and balances between easy psych and heavy psych.
