Possum release ‘Lunar Gardens’

Possum is Brandon Bak (guitar, vocals), Tobin Hopwood (guitar), Patrick Lefler (bass) and Bradley Thibodeau (drums).Their previous album ‘Space Grade Assembly’ was an album filled with fuzz and Black Sabbath like tunes. I have been a fan of the band since I heard their debut album and I am really happy to show you their new album ‘Lunar Gardens’. On this album we have a completely new Possum, they reinvented their sound from heavy fuzz to really trippy cosmic psych with some space rock, trippy jazz and kraut and stuff like that. ‘Lunar Gardens’ is really trippy, original and most of all, a very fun listen.

SUCK

In Germany there is a trio that is called Suck and they make wild garagepunk. Fast and energetic punk riffs with a bit of hardcore, thrashmetal and garage influences, most of all their music is loud, heavy and fun to listen too. They have their first 7″ inch out and it is a superlimited edition so be fast.

Spraint release ‘Radio Caca’

On Premature Records comes the new EP by Spraint. The EP is called ‘Radio Caca’ and is really cool, it has a lot of different influences wich makes it a really interesting listen, here and there the album feels like a grunge album but then the noisy garageriffs blast throughout and it is heaviness all around. Cool stuff, yes, cool stuff.

Belgian Garagepunk Nutshell

I like nuts and I like garagepunk and I am from Belgium. So does this mean I like the band Nutshell? Yes it does! Nutshell are five humans making punk and garage with jolly vibes. There are three tracks and a new video up for a listen from their EP ‘Tidal Waves’ wich is out since July 24. The track ‘The Malthusian Trap’ is the heaviest of the tracks and is my favourite track.

Tune in, watch the video and move a bit to the sounds of Nutshell.

Fuzz release ‘III’

Finally, here it is in all its glory, number three by Fuzz (Ty Segall, Charles Moothart, Roland Cosio)! Out today (23/10) on in The Red Records. The album, titled ‘III’, is a gorgeous album filled with riffs, garagerock, psych and catchy stuff. Tracks on the album vary from classic heavy fuzz to more funky tunes. Sometimes they can sound so much like Black Sabbath (thank God for those gorgeous guitar solos) like on ‘Nothing People’ and Time Collapse’. Fuzz is one of the psychedelic garage forces of out times and again they show what they are capable of with the awesome album.

Garage fun with Slomo Sapiens

Are you ready for a good dose of Philadelphian garagefuzz? These five dudes create very fuzzed out garage and psych, the kind that gives you loads of energy, the makes you jump around like a twerp. Their album “Cabin Fever Dreams’ is out since March 20. It starts off quite dreamy but the groove and garage soons joins the party. Be cool and listen to Slomo Sapiens. Pretty damn cool music in these times. Enjoy

Fake Indians release “The Pest”

Fake Indians are a band from Antwerp, Belgium. I have not seen them live yet and had not listened to their music, I don’t why I did not but it does not matter because I did now. I do not know much but what I do know is that Fake Indians are pretty much frikkin awesome. I know that their latest album “The Pest” was released February 29 because I read it on their bandcamp page. I do like this very much because of the level of rocknroll, heavy fuzz and punk atmosphere. “The Pest” is one of those albums that is impossible to pin down, to much energy, to much of a fuck you. I am very glad I finally listen to Fake Indians and I know you will be glad too. I hope to see them live soon, I even might drive to Antwerp.

I very much like the track “Terror Squad” but I don’t like the track “Cheyenne”.
