One of my favourite newish bands is Chat Pile, a band that kinda difficult to pin down and has the sound like an industrial concrete mixer. If you don’t know them I really need you to listen to ‘Remove Your Skin Please’ and I promise you will be blow away.A while ago they did a Sepultura cover for the Flenser’s upcoming compilation. Now they released a split with Portayle of Guilt. The track is called ‘A Brutal Truth’ and maybe their sludgieiest and hievyiest track till now.

Ohio heavyweight Sog City shared a new album ‘the hitch hiker.’ Their previous album ‘Thoroughbreds.’ was pretty damn awesome so I expected more of the same but this new album is different. The first track ‘tiny hooks’ is 14 minuites long and is a eerie sludge/doom track with incredible heavy riffing and atmospheric vocals at the end. Second track ‘shutterbug’ is 7 minutes of dirty sludge and ‘the hitch hiker.’ is all noise and doom. An excellent album that is way darker than their previous work. pretty damn awesome.
Lars Göran Petrov has passed away, he was probably best known as vocalist for Entombed but he also did vocals on Comecon and Firespawn and drummed in Morbid. I don’t do a lot of posts like this and the music is not even noiserock but Entombed was and is my favourite metalband and one of the few bands i kept listening to in the last 15 years. So I am kjust going to drop some youtube links of my favourite Entombed tracks here.
Petbrick is Wayne Adams (Big Lad/Death Pedals/Johnny Broke) and Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura/Soulwax/Mixhell). The band released the album ‘I’ october 2019 but have not been sitting still since then, they have released the remix track ‘Gringolicker’, the remixes of the ‘I’ album and my favourite, the collaboration with Deafkids called ‘Deafbrick’. Now, on Bandcampday, they return with an EP called ‘Pet Sounds Vol. 1’ wich is a mix of eerie soundscapes, industrial destruction and drum driven choas.
This perfect hangover music comes from Copenhagen and is called Eyes and their debut album is out and is called ‘Underperformer’ and was released September 25 through Indisciplinarian.
This entire album is made out of pure anger, riffs, punk, metal and other hard stuff. It is very agresssive and very good for your soul. Only possible to listen to this very loud. Tune in.
This is the new band with members from death metal deliriants Crypate, Imperial Cult, Dead Neanderthals and more. As a big fan of the gloom and doom by Dead Neanderthals I always check out their side projects and this one is quite something. First of all I was blown away by the cover art, truly amazing work. I had heard the expert and was instantly a fan, now the whole shabam is out, and it is truly marvelous/disgusting. Forty minutes of evil depressing music, eerie atmospheres, here and there some piggish deep grunts, well you know, everything to make a great evil records
Plague Organ is mezmerizing. Tune in now.
This Australian band makes some really gritty riff fueled punk. Spoonhead released their album ‘Pretty Pig’ on August 8 and is a really cool mix of hardcore punk and frikkin good thrashy metal riffs. Tune in and check them out.
On Fourth of September, Bandcamp Day, The new compilation album ‘Shut it Down: Benefit for the Movement for Black Lives’ was released. 100% of proceeds going towards The Movement For Black Lives. On the compilation we have 46 tracks and a great variaty of metal, punk and noiserock. Some of the artist deliverds brand new tracks and others unreleased tracks and demos and stuff.
Due to the many tracks and great artists ont his I can only say it is very, very awesome and it is a true delight to listen to everything and just enjoy the noise and riffs and certainly to get to know some new artists.
This is one you need in your collection. It is not a lot of money when you hear what you get for it. Tune in and buy it now.

As a big fan of the gloom and doom by Dead Neanderthals I always check out their side projects and this one is quite something. First of all I was blown away by the cover art, truly amazing work. Their is only one track and its something of 40 minutes in length and for now we have to do it with an excerpt of two minutes, but it sounds absolutely brutal!
Combine massive riffs with electronics , noise and splendid heavy vocals then you get Primitive Knot. This band is quite impressive in their unstoppable in your face riff destruction. Each track is heavy as the next one. their album ‘Lost Wisdom’ has an Industrial feel to it, this sounds like music for trolls and orcs. Tune in for eleven tracks of some sludgy noise.
Mrs. Piss is Chelsea Wolfe and Jess Gowrie. Their new collaboration is called Mrs. Piss and is really good. This was not really what I expected though, I really like Chelsea Wolfe and expected more doom I guess but this is way more my style, there is something really punk in their sound, something that says fuck you. The Industrial and doom is still there and just makes the whole thing so much better. This sounds like music for rebels and wackos. This is a gorgeous new band, tune in now and enjoy their album ‘Self-Surgery’.
Couch Slut is awesome, they make this extreme intense music, this noiserock with hardcore and metal stuff in it. Here and there riffs that apear out of the void that fuck you over completely with an extreme intensity. But there are so many other elements in this album, the heavy metal pieces and black metal influences, it is crazy but this album sounds like Couch Slut but is so much more spectacular, so much more layered. I really really loved their album “Contempt” from 2017, I did, but this is so much better, they possess the same energy that same ferociousness but this album feels a whole. You may not believe me because I spewed a lot of awesome and superb in the last two days with all this crazy releases like Blom and Metz and the three one g record compilation and these other compilations but the releases the last days have just been incredible and Couch Slut is one of them. ‘Take A Chance On Rock ‘n’ Roll’ is absolutely amzing, intense to the last second! Out on Gilead Media.
Favourite track: ‘I’m 14’
Recently I was thinking: ‘Is there such a thing as noiserock in Africa?’. So i went searching and asking around and this seemed not that easy. It is difficult to find noiserock but god, did I found awesome music! So this will be my Africa appreciation post filled with garage, punk, psych and other stuff. There is going to be a bit of everything here, but everything will be absolutely epic, I promise. Oh, and I will try to share bands or musicians that live in Africa, too keep it simple. This post ins ongoing and stuff will be added now and then. Please, iff you know of awesome stuff, let me know.
This is a three piece from Durban in South Africa that mix stoner and noiserock and stuff. Their latest album ‘Birth Create Dissipate’ is pretty wild.
Again from South Africa this a garagepunk bank called Make-Overs. They have released a couple albums and their music is pretty wild. Its a duo, wich i feel is alfways cooler.
This is an excellent record! ‘The Black Tapes’ was released in 1986 and is possibly my favourite on this list (favourite track ‘vlermuis’). This record feels like the closest I came to finding noiserock in Africa. This is the best Cape Town music I have heard!
Return To Worm Mountain
It is quite incredible what kind of bands I am discovering thanks to this post. Someone commented I forgot about this band. They seem to be a two piece between the the singer / guitarist of Black Math and some strange individual. Their music absolutely rules and they have just a new album out called ‘Therianthropy’ (it is about monsters).
This is gorgeous heavy music from south africa from somewher ein the seventies. Heavy rock with acid and punk. This Whole album rules from beginning to end!
Only last year the Durban, Sout African band Taekwondo Sleepover released a new album “Sink or Float” and it is goddamn incredible. Never thought I would find suck incredible stuff. This is goddamn african noiserock, the stuff I was searching for! f. An absolute banger!
Okey, sorry for all the people who are taking this way more serious than me, I know William Onyeabor does not make ear shredding bonecrushing music but its William Onyeabor and it s so beautifull and trippy and it fits on Fuzzy Sun, there I said it.
Som dirty punk, and when I mean really dirty. From Soweto in South Africa. If you want to know what the name means you can look it up yourself.
RIKKI ILILONGA & MUSI O TUNYA
Someone told me to look for the term ZAMROCK and now there is going to be an awfull lot of zamrock on this post because this mix of african music and psych is beyond awesome. Seems lots of people agree this band are the fathers of Zamrock.
Another Zamrockband! ‘Black Power’ is one hell of an album full of fuzz and fun.
Getatchew Mekuria & The Ex & Guests
going to break my rules here myself because this shit is absolutely very awesome. And The Ex played in this if that helps a bit.
Group Bombino and Group Inerani
Nigerian psych with political protest songs of the Tuareg people’s rebellion against the governments of Niger and Mali.
Nigeria Rock Special: Psychedelic Afro-Rock & Jazz Funk in 1970s Nigeria
This is lazy, I know, I am making it me a whole lot easier. Here is a compilation of Nigerian fuzz
I think most of you know Tuareg musicians from the Sahara Desert region of northern Mali.
On the same label as the Make-overs is the band is the South African heavy garage/noise band Sticky Antlers. chech out this fuzzed out goodie!
Just like Sticky Antlers and Make-Overs this band is on the KRNGY logo label. This is pretty dirty garagenoise.
Chrissy Zebby Tembo
This sounds a bit like the retro african version of Ty Segal.
Saharan psych of the highest order
Les Filles de Illighadad
Very trippy world/psych from Abalak.
deep fuzz and psych in the 70’s by pioneer band Amanazfrom Zambia ofcourse.
Ever heard of Wrust? it is like the African Sepultura. Tune in for some Botswana Metal.
very angry music from South Africa. Listen to some Chaos Christ.
Ofo The Black Company
Very fuzzed out garage and rocknroll from South Africa. Tune in for their latest album
“Thoroughbreds” is the new album by Ohio heavyweight Sog City. This is something between extremely agressive riffing and intense noiserock, the whole album sounds like someone is crushing your skull with amplifiers. I am sitting here quite impressed actually, after listening to the first track that starts of quite eerie and soon brings the chaos and riffs I am sitting here and I think, lordy, this stuff is good. “Lollygagger” is even heavier if that is even possible. “Fools errand” is chaotic fun and introduces a bit of fun punk and synths too! “Valet Parking” is just brutal just like “Rodeo’s closed”. The album is closed with my favourite track called Thoroughbreds. This is music for the noiserock fan who likes his music a bit more metally and heavy. I love Sog City.
You might say that Igorrr does not fit at all on Fuzzy Sun and you are probably right but honestly, I love Igorrr with their crazy over the top weirdness. When I heard them first with their 2012 album “Hallelujah” and I was so happy I discovered this french weirdos. They mix up their metal with al kinds of strange stuff, from breakcore to baroque-like music. Ok, honestly, some tracks are a bit too gothic for me but sometimes they are just absolutely fun to listen too. Their video of “Very Noise” might as well be the best music video I have seen in years too. Now decide for yourself if classical baroque, breakcore, gothic and death metal belong together in one song. Enjoy “Spirituality and Distortion”.
Human Impact is made from members of members of Cop Shoot Cop, Unsane and Swans. The 10 track album is full of excellent songwriting, heaviness and above all there is an gorgeous atmosphere. There is an eerie vibe throughout the album, the tracks are heavy and yet they are stuck easily in your head. It is quite clear these people have lots of experience, every track is crafted carefully and excellently executed. This self titled album was released 13 March on Ipecac Recordings.
Favourite track: Consequences
Human Impact is made from members of members of Cop Shoot Cop, Unsane and Swans. The band shared the tracks “November”, “E605”, “Consequences” and now we get the fourth track “Cause”. These tracks are taken from their self titled upcoming album wich will be released on Ipecac Recordings on March 13. All this accumulated experience creates some really strong songs.
Catface Meowmers are an anonymous project from the UK. I shared their previous track “Death To The Tory Party Forever” wich was released in July 2019. Now they have a new work called “Good Christ, I Hope Not” thats freshly released. I have no idea who these people are, I can’t find nothing about themand I don’t think they want to be found so I think we may have some Lizard People on or hands here.
Now I want to say sorry to all the hazy, mellow psychedelic rock fans on Fuzzy Sun because I shared mostly noiserock and very heavy stuff lately, I will try to think of you guys to and share now and then some psychpop stuff. But this, this is even a bit loud fo Fuzzy Sun but it is soooooo gooooood. put some noiserock, grindcore and metal in a blender and then you get Catface Meowmers.
