Modern Technology video for ‘CTRL’

The Human Worth noiserocklabel (Gaffa Bandana, Modern Technology, Cower, Even Gildersleeve) has released a split 7″ between 72% and Modern technology a while ago (one I am really glad I own) and it is a gorgeous piece of noiserock. The 7″ called ‘Drowning In A Sea Of Bastards’ and is out on HUMAN WORTH and 10% of the proceeds go to the charity CALM – a leading movement against suicide, who are currently supporting more people than ever through this challenging time.

And now we get the video for the bonus track ‘Ctrl’ by Modern technology. All hail the riff.

72%/Modern Technology split soon on Human Worth

There is a lot of stuff in the title that gets me really excited and I mean it like in ‘OW I’M REALLY EXCITED’ excited. First of all I’m getting warm by hearing there is a new release on Human Worth wich is a really awesome noiserocklabel that has put out some incredible compilations and albums (Gaffa Bandana, Modern Technology, Cower, Even Gildersleeve). And you can feel good when buying stuff from them because each time a chunk of money goes to a good cause.

Now I am getting really giggity when I see it is a split between Modern Technology (whose album Service Provider is truly spectacular) and the noiserockers 72% (with their previous album out on Hominid Sounds). So these are two really really good bands so I guess by know you humans are as overexcited as well. The 7″ is called ‘Drowning In A Sea Of Bastards’ and will be available to pre-order 5th March from HUMAN WORTH with 10% of the proceeds + Bandcamp’s usual 15% cut on the fee waiver days will go to the charity CALM – a leading movement against suicide, who are currently supporting more people than ever through this challenging time.

Now, completely overcome with joy, we can listen to the new track by 72% wich feels like Leatherface, Hellraiser and Candyman have formed a band only to destroy your face with brutal riffs and noise. Watch the vid and turn very loud! Pre-order now on bandcamp!

Two is more than enough to form a band

Sometimes I hear these bands that have only two humans in it and they make more noise then half an orchestra and I am always amazed how much energy and noise they produce with only two. And since I love lists (i know i know) I made a list! Mostly noiserock duos and I am sure I forgot about an awful lot so help out a bit and let me know who I forgot. Tune in for a list of loud duos (maybe next time I will do a list with one man bands)

Vandal X

Who better to start with then the Belgian duo Vandal X, godfathers of Belgian Noiserock. Check them out and if you need more Belgian noiserock, tune in for The Big Belgian Noiserocklist.

BEDTIMEMAGIC

The duo from Boston has recently made a split with the duo Greylocks that is really awesome.

Lightning Bolt

Ah Yes ofcourse Lightning Bolt! Probaly the best known noiserock duo making extremely awesome noise with only two dudes since the beginning of sound.

Melt-Banana

This one is so awesome. Relentless fast paced Japanese noiserock! Melt-Banana is also on my ridiculously long list called ‘The Cosmic side of Japan’.

BELK

From Leeds, These ones make absolutely brutal riff fueled heaviness.

Dead Neanderthals

From The Netherlands, not really noiserock but I really love their experimental noise/doom/whatever. Really good band.

THREE PREMIERES FROM THE HUMAN WORTH VOL. 2 COMPILATION

You probably noticed I only used capital letters in the headline. This is because I am very excited for this new release and I am triple excited because I can premiere three tracks from three different bands from this compilation. One could say I am excited pretty fast, wich is is true, but I have reason to be so excited! The first Human Worth compilation was released May One this year and I called it the best Compilation of the year and it seems it is now tied with Vol 2.. I am getting excited just by typing this! All these amazing bands! Check out the first compilation here.

Human Worth is a charitable label raising funds for people in crisis through their shows and releases. The label began as a series of fundraiser nights across the UK, bringing together an array of artists all in aid of charity. (I just copied this from their bandcamp because I can’t say it better).

The first compilation featured 20 artists and raised money for The Bail Project. And now Human Worth will release Vol.2 with again 20 artists (AJA, Klämp , Blóm, Shuck, Sly & The Family Drone, We Wild Blood, Modern Technology, Mummise Guns, Bismuth & Vile Creature,USA Nails, Algernon Cornelius, Ballpeen, Vile Sect, Working Men’s Club, Eurosuite , OZO, Lovely Wife, No Music, Warren Schoenbright, Left Hand Cuts Off the Right)

On the Human Worth label we will also get the new album by Modern Technology (who will premiere a new track on your favorite site Fuzzy Sun like right now). The proceeds will go to The Trussell Trust to help support their nationwide network of food banks, and Black Minds Matter to help provide mental health support to black individuals and families.

Now VOL. 2 will be released this friday (when bandcamp waives their fees again) and all proceeds this time are going to Harmless (To provide support, information, training and consultancy to people who self harm, their friends, families and professionals). So I will share the full compilation on friday again so you will not forget! But now I will share with immense pleasure the three premieres!

Modern Technology

49279913_479973915742160_4358427065591005184_o

This London two piece make so much noise it is almost impossible to believe that it is only two of them. They have already released two tracks from their upcoming album ‘Service Provider’ wich are really good, but maybe it is because I am getting excited again or because I can premiere it but this is by far the best track they released. The track ‘Gate Crasher’ is immensly heavy, filled with a gorgeous heavy riff and vocals. ‘Service Provider’ is going to be special, I can just feel it. It will be released on September four on Cruel nature Records and the Human Worth label ofcourse.

Shuck

70912925_472024140057807_581957945370083328_n

Shuck is this trio from Manchester that makes the most amazing noisy fuzz punk. It is a little diffcult to pin this band down to a genre but what I know for sure is that they are really heavy and original. They released their first EP ‘Shuck’ in 2018 on Hominid Sounds and stayed with the label for their latest (wich is rteally great and catchy) release ‘Petrichor and Rainbows’ wich was released June 5. So now we get a new track already! It is a live recording of the track ‘Sarah Conner’ and with the track they showcase their ferocious energy! Tune in and be blown away by Shuck!

Ballpeen

48411855_2206533039366405_8916063171161096192_o

Ballpeen is a trio that played in bands like Tide of Iron, Jinn, Grace, Thirty Seconds Until Armageddon, OZO, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaind and many more. But hey, that does not mean a lot, wbut what does is the music they make, and they make really awesome energetic hardcore punk. They just released their split with Onlooker  and have released their full album ‘Pachinko’ in June on Cruel Nature Records. This is a lot of awesome music in a short time! And now they make 2020 even better they have given a demo track (wich does not sound demo at all) for thsi amazing comp. The track is called (Hate Fantasies’ and it so much energy you can probably power your electric car with it.

Modern Technology share second song

The first released track from the duo Modern Technology is called ‘Semi-Detached’ and is  instantly good for me. Heavy noise and riffs, dirty and gritty. Now the UK band has given us the second second single called ‘Blackwall Approach’ wich is yet again awesome. Starting more ominous and with a bass the track slowly builds up to an excellent noiserock track.

Modern Technology is going to release their upcoming full album ‘Service provider’  on August 25 through Human Worth (who made a fantastic Compilation a while ago) and Cruel Nature Records.

Enjoy the track and video of ‘Blackwall Approach’.

Gorgeous noise on the new Modern Technology

The London noiserock band released their self titled album January 7 and it is filled with bleak noiserock.

This duo constists of Chris Clarke on Bass & Vocals and Owen Gildersleeve on Drums. Togother they succeeded in making an original noiserock album that feels ominous and raw. On June 28 they will play their release show in London. If you can, go  check them out live.

Tune in for some noiserock with postpunk influences by Modern Technology.
