You may know Stuck from their excellent 2020 album ‘Change is Bad’. The Chicago band delivers some fine noisy post-punk. Instantly catchy but still raw and heavy. The first track is called ‘City of Police’ and is taken from their upcoming EP ‘Content That Makes You Feel Good’ and will be released August 13.
Austrian trio Modecenter released their new album on July 23. The thing with the same name is some excellent fast paced noisy post punk with some angry vocals on it. Loud, fast and agressive, this new album is really great, not really sure why the rest of the world is not talking about this. Tune in now!
LA band Sprain released their new album ‘As Lost Through Collision’. They have this very own atmospheric sounds where they have the brutal attack of noiserock and the eerie vibes of postpunk and that together gets a very ominous and heavy impression. Five absolutely gorgeous tracks with some more then ten minutes of noisy heaviness. Tune in now.
Belgian rockers Crowd of Chairs return with their second full length called “Mod kid With Dog”. Their previous album “FUCK FUCK FUCK” was released in April 2017. On that album you could hear the band experimenting with noiserock and postpunk but on this new album the band has taking the experiment a little further. “Mod Kid With Dog” is weirder, darker, complexer and more experimental. What is most remarkable is the intensity of the album, it is not necessarily heavier or harder it is just very in your face, the music very nervous. This is an album that needs to grow on you, you have to let it in and listen to it with intense focus. Then this album will devour you. I haven’t chosen a favourite track yet because I will have to listen to this album a lot more before I know what track has chosen me. “Mod kid With Dog” is released February 21 on sentimental. Listen now.
