Shit is getting confusing, there well come a time when I will try to make a post about Shit and Shine where I will try to order their records a bit from weird techno to strange electronics to brutal sludgenoise. Lately Craig Clouse (wich is, I think, the mastermember) has been releasing al his older albums on bandcamp and it brought me a lot of joy. So while I have been checking out all these releases Craig has been releasing new music as well.

‘Goat Yelling Like A Man’ is the album that is released on Riot Season Records and wich is mental sludgenoise. And right about the same time we have got the new album ‘Malibu Liquor Store’  wich is out on Rocket Recordings. Trippy and fat beats for moving your body. I tried moving my body on these beats and I must say it was pretty fun.

Dear people of Planet Earth, I have listened to a lot of Shit and Shine over the last years and I have to admit that I love them, I absolutely adore Shit and Shine. Their has been acid and electronic music and stuff like that and I that stuff is really good but what I love most about them is their extremely heavy sludge/noiserock. Their previous album ‘Doing Drugs, Selling Drugs’ on Riot Season Records was a such an album and it instantly ended on my number two of the year 2019.

Now, Today, ‘Goat Yelling Like A Man’ is out and it is darker and more evil and maybe even more slow then their previous  ‘DOING DRUGS, SELLING DRUGS’ . This music sounds like the evil twin brother of doommetal. Shit and Shine does it yet again.

Enough Shit and Shine to keep everyone happy

Okay, so there is a lot of stuff that really sucks this year and it seems a lot of it will keep on sucking but one thing that is pretty damn cool that is the constant stream of releases, re-releases, digital long lost releases and what else from Texas noisemakers Shit and Shine, the band that feels at home in extreme sludgy noiserock as acid techno beaty stuff.

I have shared already a couple of re-releases and lost stuff and now their are again three released.  This release ‘Good White Good Green’, was released in 2016 on HEATED HEADS label from Glasgow.

Another release is ‘KUSS MICH MEINE LIEBE’ released in 2008 on the fabulous LOAD RECORDS as a double lp.now available digital.

Another long lost super limited sold out vinyl only release 12″ from 2013 again from the mysterious gangsigns label based out of south london. only 300 copies of this WTF -weirdo-masterpiece were released and they were snapped up immediately. ‘FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE START BEING POLITE FOR A FUCKING CHANGE’

And this one for now is the digital version of bass puppy 12″ from 2010 released on the kick ass BADMASTER RECORDS out of Philly(home of the cheese steak).

‘JREAM BABY JREAM’ was released in 2012 on Riot Season and is another classic Shit and SHine.

Shit and Shine everywhere

Releasing music faster then I can take a shit or Stephen King can release a book you have Shit and Shine, the Texas band that release noiserock, drone, electronics as a duo apart or together apart or something. Recently released ‘Scenic Farm‘, less recently ‘Doing Drugs, Selling Drugs” and “No No No“. Now they rereleased their Ladybird session digitally wich was released originally  2004 with 2 basses,a snare drum,a huge cardboard box and a tiny toy casio sa-1 keyboard. Enjoy some Shit and Shine.

Robonoise: Noiserock with electronic influences

I noticed I really like it when bands experiment with sound, as a big noiserockfan I ofcourse go completely wild when these bands experiment with sound, especially with electronics. The difference between noiserock and industrial is small, I know, but I wil try  to leave Industrial mostly out of it.  So I will share some of my favourite releases, some with an obvious electronic influence and with others it is a bit more nuanced. Be sure to let me know wich ones deserve a place on here, I really want as much as possible on this list.

Best of 2019 by Fuzzy Sun

Fuzzy Sun mostly covers noiserock, psychedelic rock and experimental stuff. A new addition to the blog is experimental techno/industrial/noise but this is still in its infancy. I have the feeling there was a bit more psychedelic rock in 2018 then this year but there were still some exquisite releases. It is very clear for me noise rock dominated 2019.

This is my  end of the year list, my best of list of 2019. I tried to orden my favourite released a bit but this is no easy task, so don’t take it too seriously. Do take the bands on this list seriously and take your time to absorb their music. their are some absolute gems in this list. Order some vinyl too. bands like money last i heard.

1.Girl Band – The Talkies

My number one of 2019 is Girl Band and I can say this with great conviction. The band is refreshing, implements different genres succesfully in one track. They do not make their sound more easy to become popular, on the contrary, they keep experimenting, this time very succesfully with electronic and techno vibes mixed through their music.

This is in your face noiserock with the most dense riffs ever created. Shit and Shine needs to be a genre on their own, somthing like Swamp Sludge or  Zombie Noise. This is brilliant. Shit and Shine did it again.

5. Black Shape – LONDON

I am completely blown away by this “new” band . I can tell you I probably listened to their 45 minute track ‘LONDON’ the most this year. The track starts with about ten minutes of crushing riff, the riff is great but don’t think that is all the band can do. 6. Thank – Think Less

The Leeds noiserockers end up at number six with their EP ‘Please’. This new EP is the most original version of punk, noise, and electronics I have heard in a long while. Thank is on acid.

Kim Gordon is making music for millenia and it is just now she released her first solo album. This is a solo album by an artist who is experiences, original, daring and she perfectly knows what she is doing and what she wants. “No Home Record” is exceptional and original.

Contender for loudest album of the year. With members of Shit and Shine. Destructive, aggressive, hits you in the face and when you are on the ground it keeps on hitting until your face is pulp, then burns the pulp.

9. Rainbow grave – No You

Oh lord this is dirty, this is such a dirty mix of sludge and punk that it needs to end on place 8. With founder member of Napalm Death and Scorn and founder member of Doom and Sore Throat. Out on God Unknown Records.

10. Naujawanan Baidar – Volume 2

I am always up for some new sounds and Mr. Baidar delivers these tunes. A mix of Afghan folk and noise creates one hell of a gorgeous record.

11. Tropical Fuck Storm – Braindrops

The Australian rockers made a gorgeous album, again. In my opinion this one is even a lot better then the previous one. A lot of different styles, a lot of tracks that are instant addiction for me.

12. Sly and the Family Drone – Gentle Persuaders

Gorgeous in their experimental noise, free jazz and drone. And “Gentle Persuaders” is by far their best release.

These nutcases from Belgium released two albums this year. ’20/20 Hindsight’ was so loud even I had difficulty digesting it. Their second part ‘If wishes were horses, homicidal beggars could ride’ is the more experimental of the two and really stuck in my head.

Good lord, this supergroup (Dead Cross, Qui, Retox, Virginia Reed, Hep.Titus and Planet B) makes the heaviest punk ever. Slayer looks like cute little kitties next to Cunts.

My favorite band from Japan wich I know for sure they will conquer the world with their original mix of doom, psych and noise. They released an EP “In neutral” this year. Gloria is the strongest track of the two.

Shit and Shine release “Doing Drugs, Selling Drugs”

Ridiculously filthy, ear melting heavy, experimental noiserock with typical Shit and Shine noises. That’s what I think of it and I think it is amazing. Last year they released ‘Bad Vibes’ wich was an absolute banger. I’ve played the track ‘Yeah I’m On Acid’ all year round. Now that album was all beats and techno and was great but this album sounds more like USA/MEXICO (wich Craig Clouse is a member of). It even got a track featuring the great Tropical Trash on it. what the hell do you want more. I love it, I want it, I need it and I know you love it, you want it and need it too.

Everyone loves this except maybe my girlfriend who I asked to review this but did not because she said our broken washing machine sounds better.

Anyway.

Shit & Shine released “NO NO NO” on OOH-SOUNDS

Okay, Shit & Shine rules. The music that comes out of it is beyond me, from noiserock to techno to whatever falls between and out of it. On November 22 the release of “Doing Drugs, Selling Drugs” is planned on Riot Season Records wich sounds like a truck drove over a vinyl factory, high energy noiserock that is attacked by a computer.

But I want to share with you their track from the upcoming album “NO NO NO” that will be released on OOH SOUNDS. I recently blabbered about getting more into techno, industrial and experimental electronics so I guess this is a great track to share on Fuzzy Sun. Shit and Shine release ‘Salty Tomato’ from upcoming album ‘Doing Drugs, Selling Drugs’

Godd news, good news! on the great Riot Season Records label we got more music incoming by the noiserock/electronic/whateveryoucallit band Shit And Shine. Last year they released ‘Bad Vibes’ wich was an absolute banger. I’ve played the track ‘Yeah I’m On Acid’ all year round. Now that album was all beats and techno and was great but it the first track they released from their upcoming album sounds more like USA/MEXICO (wich Craig Clouse is a member of). The track ‘Salty Tomato’ is all excrutiating guitarterror, vocals from deep beneath infused with their electrosound. Seems we are going to get a violent and loud album, wich makes me happy, that is for sure.

USA/MEXICO release first track from “Matamoros”

Ow Lord, I knew this was coming, but still, this makes me so happy. USA/MEXICO is going to make my year so much better. Sometimes I am desperatly searching for that particular wall of sound, the sonic cement block. And so many times I found it in their previous album “Laredo”.

So you can imagine how happy i am too see and hear the new track by the supergroup with guitarist Craig Clouse (Shit & Shine) drummer King Coffey (Butthole Surfers) and Nate Cross (Marriage, When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth) releasing their first track from the upcoming album.

I little nervous, because my hopes are high, i pressed play and yes, this is it. From the first second the track “Matamoros” destroys.

The album “Matamoros” will be out  march 22 on Riot Season Records. Play as loud as possible!

Time for some new Shit and Shine

Yeah I’m On Acid!

Everything that is released on Rocket Recordings is just amazing stuff. Their whole catalogue is filled with psychedelic, kraut and experimental goods. And i remeber i went completely nuts on the 7″ release by Shit and Shine, the Texas droning electronics musicians. The tree track EP ‘Thats Enough’ was released last year in November and was really awesome.

So now they are returning with a new full album called ‘Bad Vibes’ wich will be released November 9.
