Elder release new album ‘Omens’

Elder has released some incredible stuff over the years, but lately they seem too experiment with their sound. “The Gold and Silver Sessions” was an album that was more psychedelic wich fitted more on Fuzzy Sun than this new thing but I still prefer the heavy riffed doomlike Elder from long ago. Now, normally I am a big fan of experimenting and changing sounds but this is all wrong for me. I expect heaviness from Elder, I expect high psychedelia with riffs and strong vocals. But on this new album ‘Omens’ everything of the good stuff is gone, I can’t seem to find a good riff, the vocals are really weak. They seem to have changed in a bad progmetal band. I see a lot of praise for this album around the web so I am glad lots of people like it but this is not the Elder I want.

Elder share 10 minute track “Embers”

I think by now everyone agrees that the four piece band Elder is a very versatile and talented band. They have released a lot of different heaviness, some of their music Heavy psych, stoner, psychedelic rock and it seems that we get something completely different yet again. After their previous, very psychedelic, “The Gold and Silver Sessions” it is time for their new album “Omens” wich will be out April 24. Elder release ‘The Gold & Silver Sessions’

The Boston 4-piece Elder are known for their crushing sound and always excellent releases. Following their 2017 album ‘ Reflections of a Floating World‘ we get the new album ‘The Gold & Silver Sessions’.

‘The Gold & Silver Sessions’ will be released July 12 through Blues Funeral Recordings.

This time Elder is back with a new refreshing a sound. A very psychedelic sound. The three tracks are psychedelia at its best, easy going and dreamy but with enough heavy psych riffs and bursts of energy to make every rocker on the planet happy.
