West Coast US psychedelic rock mainstays, Wooden Shjips released their new album ‘V’ today on Thrill Jockey Records. Their first new album since the excellent 2013 release’Back To Land’ finds the band continue where they left off, droning psych with a warm fuzzy feel, but with a slightly slower tempo than earlier releases. This brings a kind of freedom to the band not seen before. Wether frontman Ripley Johnson returning from his sojourn as part of the also excellent ‘Moon Duo’ has refined the bands sound even further, I’ll let you decide! Listen to Wooden Shjips and enjoy.
